Hospital - San Juan de Dios Church
In the sixteenth century it was created as the hospital of San Sebastián, attached to a hermitage, and in 1596 all hospitals in Arcos were merged into it. It features a harmonious patio of columns with a rich baroque staircase. Inside the church stand out: the ungilded altarpiece of Flanders pine, a baroque piece of 1735; the image of Cristo de la Veracruz fashioned by Antón Vázquez in 1545, with gothic reminders; the image of Nuestra Señora de la Angustia, a relief which was shown at the Ibero-American Exhibition in Seville in 1929.
OPENING HOURS: Free, only façade.
